Listening sessions: listen together, live

A listening session is a room where one host controls playback and everyone hears the same track at the same moment. It is the closest thing to sitting in a studio together.

Joining a session

Open Sessions to see what is live, or use a join code the host shared with you. You hear what the host plays, you see the queue and you can talk in the chat.

Hosting

Any member can start a session, give it a title and add tracks to the queue. The host can pause, skip and reorder. Guests can suggest tracks for the queue.

Music, mic and mix

• Music: only the queued tracks play.
• Mic: the host talks live to the room, for example to introduce a track or take questions.
• Mix: music plays under the host's voice, radio-style.

Why artists use it

A listening session is a release party without a venue: premiere an album track by track, tell the story behind each song and hear reactions as they happen. Followers get notified when an artist they follow goes live.
